Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you'll be promptly transported to the Nairobi Tented Camp, nestled within Nairobi National Park. As Kenya’s oldest official reserve and the world’s largest protected area so close to a city center, this park is a remarkable sanctuary. It is a major rhino sanctuary and a paradise for bird watchers, home to over 300 bird species, including migratory birds in March and April. Your stay in a comfortable canvas tent with an en suite bathroom and fire-heated showers provides a cozy retreat. Enjoy the view from your veranda, overlooking the valley and acacia forest. Choose between an expertly guided 4×4 game drive or a visit to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, renowned for rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned elephants. After breakfast, you'll be transferred back to Wilson Airport in Nairobi for a light aircraft flight to Porini Amboseli. Following a bush breakfast, transfer to the Selenkay Airstrip for a light aircraft flight to Wilson Airport. Then, head to Porini Mara, your next base for game viewing. This modest camp is situated in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, surrounded by thriving savannah plains, riverine forests, rolling hills, and tranquil rivers. Engage with the Maasai people, who share their profound knowledge of the land and wildlife during intimate nature walks. Enhance your game viewing experience in Porini’s classic safari vehicle or enjoy a hot-air balloon ride over the plains. Return to camp to a warm welcome, freshen up in your en suite tent, and savor a sundowner by the Laetoli River before a delicious meal prepared with fresh ingredients, served by friendly staff.

Drive to Olare Orok Conservancy, where Porini Lion Camp awaits on the banks of the Ntiakatiek River. This area is famed for extensive predator and big game sightings, including elusive leopards and various graceful antelopes.Visit during the dry months of August and September to witness the awe-inspiring wildebeest migration as they seek new grass shoots. After a day exploring the Masai Mara, share campfire tales with fellow adventurers in the traditional boma.
